The Central Louisiana Community Foundation is a local, private nonprofit organization that encourages effective giving from people who care about Central Louisiana and prudently invests these funds to increase the financial capacity for philanthropy across our region. The Foundation led by volunteer Board of Directors formed of local community leaders and managed by a small professional staff.
- We build awareness of the opportunities for philanthropy across our 13-parish service area and promote charitable giving for the enhancement of the quality of life here.
- We help local nonprofits to perform better so their work is more effective and to communicate their missions and challenges better so they can inspire greater support to carry their work further.
- We assist people in making wise choices about their giving, encouraging local donations, whenever possible.
- Through donor advised funds and other Foundation resources, we make grants for activities that make life better for people of the area.
- We establish, build, invest and steward endowments so the work our community treasures can exist in perpetuity.
The Central Louisiana Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (TIN: 72-1446378), led by a volunteer Board of Trustees formed of our region’s leading citizens. Our legal name for use in wills, trusts and similar documents is the Central Louisiana Community Foundation.

In December 2012, the Foundation absorbed the Arts Council of Central Louisiana to preserve the Arts Council mission and bring more more marketing and fundraising capacity to the local arts community.
