Building on its tradition in the sugar industry, Honiron Corporation has gained valuable knowledge in engineering, designing and custom fabrication of equipment, which allows us to continually diversify into the petroleum, pulp and paper, edible oil and carbon black industries, and meet the specialized needs of our customers.
 
Beginning its operations in Hawaii in 1852, Honiron has participated in the construction of more than 200 cane sugar mills, 8 beet sugar factories, 8 refineries and 6 alcohol distilleries. Up until 1960, Honiron had been operating as an independent corporation when the company associated with J&L in Jeanerette, Louisiana.
 
In 1979, J&L/Honiron was purchased by CAMECO, the world's leading manufacturer of sugar cane harvesting and handling equipment, and operated as a division of CAMECO. In 1998, CAMECO was acquired by John Deere, and Honiron was newly incorporated and operates as an independent corporation.
 
Honiron's mission is to deliver Experienced Engineering, Customized Fabrication, Quality Products and Support Services in a timely and cost effective manner to Agricultural and Industrial Customers.
