Dr. Teresa Gernon co-owns Magazine Street Animal Clinic with her husband, Dr. Scott Gernon. A small animal general practitioner, Dr. Gernon has cared for pets at Magazine Street Animal Clinic since 2003. Dr. Gernon grew up in New York and southern Illinois and moved to the Baton Rouge area while in high school. She attended Louisiana State University and majored in Pre-Veterinary Medicine before she went on to the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gernon was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Internal medicine, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery are among her many professional interests. Dr. Gernon is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association, and the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. “When you’re a veterinarian, every day is a new experience and you’re always learning,” Dr. Gernon said of her profession.
