Mr. Briney is the senior partner with the firm, Briney Foret Corry, located in Lafayette, LA. He has been a practicing lawyer for 36 years and has handled a variety of civil and criminal matters in his career. Further, Mr. Briney has participated in hundreds of mediations and arbitrations since 1976. Mr. Briney is frequently invited to appear and speak at seminars for members of the bar and insurance industry.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1969, Mr. Briney joined the U.S. Army and served until 1972. In 1976, he earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Louisiana State University. While attending law school, he was the chairman of the Moot Court Board. He began his legal career as an assistant attorney general for the State of Louisiana and subsequently worked as an assistant district attorney for the Parish of East Baton Rouge.
