Dr. Katie Habetz is a Louisiana native. She was bornin Metairie, and raised in Destrehan. She joined our staff in December 2021. Growing up, she enjoyed taking care of all the family pets, and knew from a young age she wanted to become a veterinarian. After graduating from Archbishop Chapelle High School in 2003, she attended Louisiana State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in animal science. Prior to attending veterinary school, she received her Master’s degree from LSU in animal and dairy science with a concentration in ruminant nutrition and physiology. She graduated from LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2013. She has interests in internal medicine, endocrinology and nutrition.
