Ms. Tastet was born in New Orleans Louisiana. She graduated, magna cum laude, from Loyola University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Economics in 2016. Ms. Tastet earned her Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law, cum laude, from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University in 2019. While in law school, she served as a Senior Editor of the Journal of Energy Law and Resources, was the recipient of the CALI award for Sales and Real Estate Transactions, research assistant to John Randall Trahan and Elizabeth Carter, and was a member of the Energy Law Negotiation Competition Team. Upon graduating, Ms. Tastet joined a public accounting firm as a state and local tax consultant where she focused on state and local tax controversies, audit defense, and identifying refund opportunities for clients across industries and states. Additionally, she provided state and local tax due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
