Got Vegetables? We farm for you! Tell us what you like, if it grows in our climate, we will grow it for you. Our goal (Full Basket) is to provide 10 to 12 lbs average per week, throughout the year. The full Basket should feed a family of four or two vegetarians per week. The half basket feeds two adults or one vegetarian. We are planting weekly throughout the year; January through July for the warm weather season, August through February for the cool weather crops.
Our minimum joining time is 18 weeks. A 50% deposit is due on signing up and the balance due half way through the sign up period. (Total cost for the first season is $600 full basket, $360 half basket). We understand the difficulty of changing from buying your vegetables weekly to twice a year so we are willing work with you how ever we can. If you choose to stay with us longer, we offer two other plans: two seasons (36 weeks March- July and Sept - Dec) for $1,100 full basket, or the half basket for $600 or the full year 50 weeks $1,250 full, half $750.
TOMKINS FARM is a small family farm outside of Covington, LA. We are chemicals and insecticide free farm; we grow natural organic vegetables. We raise hormone free meat chickens, rabbits and have free range chicken eggs and pasture raise pigs. We believe in the practices of self-sustainable farming.
